In Courfaivre, in December 2025, mist wraps the trees in a delicate veil. Their trunks, marked by time, and their bare branches are etched between the golden hues of the ground and the bluish coolness of the landscape.

“The Roots of Silence” evokes a tranquil presence, an anchorage that remains when everything else seems to fade away. The silhouettes mirror one another and then dissolve into the fog, lending the photograph an almost painterly softness.
